The Guntersville Wildcats basketball team had no problem knocking out Boaz Saturday night for the subregional round of the 5A playoffs, taking the win with a final score of 83-57.

The Boaz Lady Pirates (14-11) picked up one of their best wins of the year over the Class 5A, No. 8 Sardis Lions (21-6) on Jan. 24 at Boaz.

NFHS is the National Federations of State High School Associations, of which AHSAA is a member. According to NFHS, Thomas led Boaz High School to the Class 1A-5A state boys’ championship in 2023.
