Bastian is now the 13th forward on the Stars’ roster, effectively completing that unit and eliminating the need for competition in camp for that last forward spot. Stars GM Jim Nill brought in Bastian and former Stars forward Radek Faksa this offseason as the new pieces in that room.

The 27-year-old had 10 points (4-6—10) in 59 regular-season games for the New Jersey Devils while also appearing in five postseason games

The Dallas Stars added some forward depth. Nathan Bastian joined the team on a one-year, $775,000 contract, the Stars announced on Saturday.
