Boxing insiders are becoming increasingly concerned at reports suggesting Manny Pacquiao is preparing to return to the sport aged 46 against the current WBC welterweight world champion Mario Barrios,

Speaking to Seconds Out, De La Hoya shared his verdict on his former rival’s upcoming world title challenge as he wishes him ‘all the best’ ahead of what will undoubtedly be a tough test for the 46-year-old.

Barrios last fought in November on the undercard of the Netflix event headlined by Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. He fought Abel Ramos to a draw, allowing him to retain his WBC welterweight title.
