The "How To Train Your Dragon" live-action remake has a brand-new trailer. The film re-tells the story of the animated 2010 hit about a Viking befriending a dragon.

On January 30, Universal showed us three scenes (which were not completely finished yet) from the new How to Train Your Dragon. The most impressive of them was definitely the first flight between Hiccup and Toothless teased a bit in the new trailer.

DreamWorks’ plan to make a live-action How to Train Your Dragon adaptation has never sounded like a great idea, and the movie’s new trailer really makes it seem like the studio might have been better off keeping this franchise strictly animated.

With Toothless and Hiccup returning to theaters this summer, director Dean DeBlois is proud to "give a bit of depth" to certain elements from the 2010 animated original.

Financial success drives the push for remakes, but critics and fans question the need for them. DreamWorks may be headed down the same path as Disney, with the potential for unnecessary remakes in the future.
