Shares in rival used car retailers went into reverse gear following the announcement of Hertz’s Amazon partnership.

Cheap cables, discounted home goods, and now used cars? Rental car giant Hertz has just announced that it will be adding its used vehicles to Amazon Autos, putting its previously-enjoyed used cars, trucks, and SUVs up for grabs alongside products like, well, just about everything.

The car rental giant is currently selling used EVs in a handful of states through Amazon Autos, and there are some good deals.

The vehicle rental incumbent extolled the advantages for car seekers of buying on Amazon Autos. Among the benefits, Hertz said that prices will frequently be beneath the Kelley Blue Book suggested retail value (a closely followed benchmark for used vehicles), and the offered cars will have each gone through a 115-point inspection by the company.
