Officials reported new containment numbers and updated evacuation notices for a wildfire burning in Kittitas County.

Firefighters appear to be getting the upper hand on the Red Bridge Road Fire, burning near Cle Elum. It’s about 53 acres in size, and as of 12 p.m. on Wednesday, it is 20% contained. According to the incident commander, the fire has burned two structures since it started on June 9. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

An active fire north of Red Bridge Road, east of Cle Elum, has prompted evacuation orders. CLE ELUM, Wash. — A wildfire about 7 miles east of Cle Elum was threatening about 50 structures Monday afternoon. The "Red Bridge Fire" was about 200 acres and growing around 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
