Local business owners react to violent incident in downtown Cincinnati that gained national attention, with one merchant calling it a "hate crime" affecting weekend crowds

Five suspects have been identified by investigators and been charged but are not in custody, said Police Chief Teresa Theetge.

"The behavior displayed is nothing short of cruel and absolutely unacceptable," Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said. Police are investigating a violent altercation involving multiple people that happened in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday night after video of the brawl went viral on social media.
