Returned after over ten years with family. As good as I remember with interesting history and buildings. Many good shops and places to eat. Well worth the visit if in the area. Full review by KiddyBoy

You have gotten good advice, but I would add Little Italy. Fun shops, lots of food options, and Ballast Point brew pub if you like great beer. Get a map that has the public transportation. …

You have gotten good advice, but I would add Little Italy. Fun shops, lots of food options, and Ballast Point brew pub if you like great beer. Get a map that has the public transportation. There are 3 train lines that get you all over the city and it's easy to use. A day pass is about $7 and pays for itself in 4 trips. Unless you are driving there, I recommend not having a car. Parking is tough and expensive. Have fun!
